Where Colorado Brands Meet Denver’s Grocery Buyers
King Soopers, Kroger’s Colorado chain of about 120 stores, is headquartered in Denver. Natural Grocers, with 169 stores (45 in Colorado), is based in Lakewood. For a Front Range food brand, the first big buyer is usually down the road.
Bring the real bag
A printed pouch tells a buyer you’re ready to ship to a chain. A stock bag with a sticker says you’re still at the market table.
Plan for every flavor
A line review rarely stops at one SKU. No plate fees means adding a flavor costs no tooling.
Right-size the first run
Our minimum is 5,000 per design: usually right for a regional rollout, too many for a single-store trial.
What Denver Food Makers Put in Bags
Denver County alone has 146 food manufacturers and 5,085 food manufacturing jobs (BLS, 2024).
Coffee
Novo Coffee has roasted on Larimer Street since 2002; Huckleberry Roasters since 2011.
Spices
Savory Spice, founded in Denver in 2004, still blends in small batches in the city.
Candy
Hammond’s Candies, around since 1920, runs a 35,000 square foot factory in North Denver.
Companies named are examples of what Denver makes, not Hawk customers.
Growing Out of a Denver Shared Kitchen
Kitchen Network, a nonprofit incubator with kitchens in Westwood and Park Hill, is where many Denver food brands start. Printed bags come one step later.

What Will Your Bags Cost?
Price per bag depends on style, size, material and colors. Delivery to Denver is included, with no plate fees.
No plate fees matters when a buyer asks for a new flavor: a nine-color design runs over $1,300 in cylinders at a converter who bills for them.
What Denver Brands Ask Us
Want to talk it through?
For statewide rules, see our Colorado packaging page.
Do you have a location in Denver?
No. We’re a California company in Sunnyvale. We deliver to any Denver-area dock with freight in the per-bag price.
A grocery buyer is interested. Is 5,000 bags too many?
For a single-store trial, yes, and stock bags with a label are better. For a regional rollout across a chain’s Colorado stores, 5,000 per flavor is usually about right.
Are there plate or setup fees?
No. Converters who bill for cylinders commonly charge around $150 per color. Ours is inside the per-bag price, including on revisions.
Where are the bags made?
By our partner plants in Asia. Freight, customs and delivery to your dock are in the price, and the 8 to 10 week lead time includes transit.
